Funny Women 2025 Content Creator Award
God know’s how, but I won a bloody award. And not just any award, an award from the incredible organisation, Funny Women!!!
Funny Women was created by Lynne Parker in response to a male promoter saying women aren’t funny. Arguably, creating a colossally successful organisation founded on giving funny women a platform and leg up in a sexist industry is quite the comeback. Lynne, you’re a legend. And cheers to BBC Studios for sponsoring them and making it possible!
Winning this award was an incredible milestone for me, and no, I haven’t stopped crying and nor shall I xxx
Digital Comedy
Somehow managed to convince 230k people to follow me on TikTok and Instagram. I’d joke and say I gave everyone a fiver, but I doubt I’m fooling anyone.
Why are they following me? Great question, and one I often ask my cat when I go to the loo. I produce content that focuses on LGBT+ culture, travel, feminism and lifestyle. It varies in style from anecdotes to sketches to rants.
When did I launch? March 2024 when one video went spectacularly viral. Shame it was the one where people laughed at me for being pale and compared my skin tone to ‘the colour of a Tesco bag’.
What have I done since? Partnered with big brands, including Nars, Universal Pictures, OpenTable, Elf, Elemis, Nip+Fab, Lingoda and more. These range from beauty to travel to sport. I’ve also been interviewed in the news, and signed with an agent. How silly.
Comedy Writing
I’ve also been trusted to produce social media videos with well-known comedians. This involved scriptwriting, shooting and editing on many platforms including Meta, TikTok, X and YouTube. Many videos went viral. I’m like a pandemic.
I have also completed courses on playwriting, sketches and scripted comedy TV with representatives from C4 and ITV.
